lost and found

i hope i don't lose this post. a few days back i finally got the drive to write a post and then while actually trying to publish it, managed to lose it in the cyber space.

my work with sky is going well. can get a wee bit crazy at times when there are people who ring up with the strangest of queries. some people call to argue about being charged 2 extra pence, which is fair enough, but the point is that they ring up a number that costs them 8 pence (or maybe 6, i can't remember) a minute, and they argue for like half an hour. to be honest i am not sure if it's worth all the trouble.

and why the hell do old people get up at the crack of dawn, i fail to comprehend. it was a saturday and i was working from 8am. this lady calls up, and i am sure she was lovely etc., but what the hell, she called up because she saw an advert on hallmark for a magic pen and she decided that she wants one too. so what does she do? the one obvious thing, call up sky customer service!

we also get people calling up cos they didn't get that pizza they ordered using the interactive. at any point, it does not occur to them to actually maybe try and ring up the pizza place. of course not. cos that would be so stupid, like.

most of the day is fine though. i got a 92% for my first call-monitoring, which is good i suppose. but apparently nothing to be proud of cos below 90% is a fail anyway.

i have also started working at the uni doing my part time voluntary java programming, which of course is so much fun!
