Sticky snow always makes for beautiful scenery... not that it's nessacarily a bad thing, but it does seem a bit dull for being color. Not that I can tell, but make play with some B&W next time if you get a chance; it's always fun to mix things up every once in a while.

What an incredibly rude comment. And I thought I was the only one who left messages purely to abuse and degrade you....

did she dare traverse the water i wonder...

oh -- and i hope you don't mind that i excised two comments from my blog and left my own. To grow up in Canada means to grow up in a classroom with a dozen shades of children. I have hence been infused with a love for all of the culture that surrounds me still. So when i see someone expressing such things about what seems to be my family, it bothers me. very sorry.

Nice look for your blog Lulu!

PW Rocker is cool. That's boyish enthusiasm I think.

I'm not sure pwrocker meant to be rude.
I had thoughts about this picture that I'll keep to myself unless asked.

i didn't take pwrocker's comments as being rude at all. i took it as a suggestion which i am quite happy to try out sometime later.

and err, paul g., i am almost scared to ask you what your thoughts are, but you have certainly intrigued me! go on...

I fear people misinterpret my comments... I was really just slagging Lulu, no offence against pwRocker meant.

don't give yourself too much credit aldo, and are you trying to admit that you don't actually not like my photos?

Don't go tying yourself in knots there, I realise a double-negative sentence like that can easily baffle and confuse the mentally challenged amongst us (ie, you...).

Now go finish watching the Teletubbies and then do some of your colouring-in book.

Ah, more compliments. I like princess coloring books. First you color them ,then glitter glue, then - oh time for teletubbies!

Pw rocker's shots are cool. I've been a lurker on his blog.
He has an awesome eye.

Some would say he has two. But then those rumours are, as of yet, unfounded.

Not much.
We've all taken this kind of shot at one time or another.
There's nothing wrong with that.
This qualifies as a 'record shot' - simple record of the scene, it's what I often do and then after the record shot I change my angle (usually get lower), look for something even a small sapling trunk to get into the foreground of the picture to get some 'depth'.

Oh! There's another 'trick' you may not have heard of for daylight snow scenes.
I'm going to let the cat out of the bag giving away this one but I don't see snow very often anymore anyways.
Turn the flash on and take the picture.
It will kick highlights into the snow in the trees nearest your and provide a greater appearance of depth.

Just suggestions, like I said there's nothing wrong with the picture.
